Maybe there's someone out there that is familiar with the TV Star Trek programs who knows of an episode on VHS where he's saying, "Make it so." or something of that sort. He usually responds to the navigator when the ship is ready to set a course. Maybe there are even episodes on TVLAND cable/satellite. It seems like he used the above lots. Don't want the movies.

Captain Picard on the NEXT GENERATION said that almost every episode but I don't remember Kirk ever saying it.

I also do not believe Kirk ever said it.

Same here - I don't think Kirk ever said it.

"Make it so" was Picard's catchphrase. Along with "engage".

You might get lucky and find a few people here that know about Star Trek

Ditto - those were Picard's catch phrases. I think Kirk's was "Gotta get me some alien pussy"

I also don't recall a single instance where Captain Kirk uttered "Make it so." As pointed out, Captain Picard said it often and there was an episode where Geordi LaForge was placed in command and he said it too. I don't remember anyone else saying it, but it wouldn't surprise me if Riker did at some point.

Thanks. PIcard then. I also likes a similar quote from Amadeus. The Emperor or King said something similar. Something like "Let it be so" or maybe a little more obscure with the same intent. "Well, there we have it." ?

Our video store doesn't carry any of the TV programs. Sci Fi channel?

Star Trek and Star Trek:The Next Generation are being shown on G4. TNG is also shown on Spike along with Deep Space 9. I don't know where else they might be showing and I don't get SciFi so can't confirm or deny.

G4 and SPIKE shows Star Trek. In Chicago, the original ST is also shown on WWME. Sci-fi will show Star Trek: First Contact next Thursday (10/12/06).

"Go to warp." was the Kirk phrase, I believe.
    Also "Give me warp speed."

He said more naval phases, like "Steady as she goes helmsman."

They really didn't talk about speeds as much as they did that viewscreen, in TOS.

Besides, Kirk was more of a "git 'er done" type of guy.

  13. Contrary to popular belief, Kirk never said "Beam me up Scotty".

On several occasions Dr. MCoy actually did say "He's dead, Jim".
