Hey, I always use TMPGEnc for AVI to DVD conversion. So today I was starting a new project and used AVI Audio Decompressor to decompress the audio so that TMPGEnc would recognize it (which usually works). But then I checked, and it is just a flat line. Can anybody tell me what to do? Thanks!

Check your file with Gspot, tell us the audio type.

The original file says the audio is AC3 and the decompressed file says the audio is PCM audio. What should I do?

AC3 audio is fine as-is for DVD, no need to convert that.

    Try this guide, clicky.

...or if you want to reencode AC3 audio, you'll need the AC3 ACM codec.
