I'm new at this and just purchased Canopus Procoder Express. I am trying to convert from MiniDV which I captured with WinDV and want to create a DVD by using ProCoder Express and TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6

It asks to determine whether the author program requires Program Stream or Elementary Stream Files. Which one is it for TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6

Also, I've chosen the option for 2 Pass Variable Bitrate. When I go through the steps with the ProCoder Express Wizard an error comes up. (2 Pass/Multiple Media is not allowed. Do you want to use single file mode. Click no if you want to use 1 pass instead). What is happening here?

Can you offer any help for the above questions, as well as, suggestions for the advanced ouput settings to get the best encode.

Program stream is AUDIO+VIDEO in a single file.
Elementary is AUDIO and VIDEO in separate files.

    TDA can use either.

One file is OK, choose highest (average 6000 kbps) quality with MPEG I layer 2 sound, default bitrate (probly 224kbps) 2 pass VBR. As above, any option is good: program (1 file) or elementary (you'll have audio and video in separate files).

IMO, elementary streams are prefered, as the first thing an authoring app will do if it get a program stream, is to demux it to elementary streams.
