    Hi there.

I purchased SVCD2DVD a few days ago and I'm very satisfied with it indeed! Great product, does in a couple of clicks what used to take me hours and a plethora of programs to do.

I have a feeling (just a feeling really), that I used to get slightly better mpg2 compression from CCE-SP, but hey, I'm not complaining.

What I WOULD like to talk about, however, is this:

I have this old notebook that I've set aside pretty much just for using SVCD2DVD. I turn it on and it runs for hours.

But it never lets the notebook's screen go into power-save mode (screen off). I have the windows screen saver turned off so as not to consume cpu cycles with it, but I would very much like the screen to turn off after 5 minutes.... I guess SVCD2DVD does something using keyboard routines, so the O.S. always thinks someone is at the keyboard....

    Best regards,
    Eduardo Baldino

Not that i can think of. Maybe because the CPU & Hard drive are being maxed out it won't do it...

  3. Just to add to Chrissyboy's reply- my monitor enters power save mode just fine with S2D running.
