    I downloaded virtualdub-mpeg2 and wmv9 vcm. wmv3 works fine but wmv2 and wmv1 aren't supported. Do I need to get wmv8 and wmv7 vcm or something?

    ffdshow has VFW WMV 1 and 2 decoders. Although the WMV2 decoder says "incomplete".

    virtualdub-mpeg2 still doesn't recognize wmv1 and wmv2.

    Did you enable the WMV1 and WMV2 codecs in the VFW codec configuragion dialog?
