    Is there any way to remove the metadata from the freeware encoded/and-or dolby certified encoded ac3 file.

    The ordinary customers complaint of lower volumes (compared to other local channels) and are ignorant about normalisation etc., etc., They attribute to higher volume as higher quality.

    It so happened that once I got a small ac3 bgm music (for dvd menu) file encoded without metadata and error reporting that it was unable to save metadata. However it played well in the dvd player and the menu volume was always higher, forcing them to reduce the volume and then increase it for the chapters. (And as of now I dont wish to change the menu audio).

    So if I could remove the metadata, maybe i can solve both the issues. My dvd's goes to individual customers and not public in general - so need not be a standard one, but should be playable.

    that issue you would have to correct during the encoding - i.e. set to -31 and no processing
