  1. I tried searching the list, but it didn't work too well.

Could someone please recommend some good portable DVD players, taking into account budget vs. screen size (getting the largest screen for the most buck), built in speakers would be nice, battery life is not so important because it will be plugged in.

I'm looking for the most inexpensive solution to playing the content on a DVD to some people in a third world country. I thought since a portable DVD player would be the most inclusive and user friendly (meaning just turn it on and hit play). If someone has a cheaper solution, I'm interested to hear the idea.

    Thanks for any help.

i would just buy the cheapest one you can find and bring 4 of them or so .... brand names dont mean much anymore as models now are made by any number of companies - and rebranded ...

now that they are all under $100 or so -- it is a moot point as they are all built pretty cheaply ..

would be nice if you can find one that works from 120-220volts though ...

this unit is supposed to be more heavy duty - http://www.amazon.com/GoVideo-DP8240-Off-Road-Portable-8-4-Inch/dp/B0007IGZ6S

but read the reviews - doesnt seem much better or worse than most other brands ..
