Let me start out by explaining what I am doing.

I am trying to convert the original theatrical versions of Star Wars to 16x9 widescreen. I did ROTJ and am trying to convert ANH using the same steps I used for ROTJ. I ripped the DVD using DVDDecrypter, used VOB2MPG to convert the VOBs to MPEG files, then used VirtualDubMPG to crop/resize the video and frame-serve to TMPGEnc to re-encode. I then used ChapterXtractor to extract the chapter points, and DVDSubEdit to open the VOB files and get the subtitles, saving them as .sup file - I want to keep the standard English and Forced English. I am now trying to get DVDAuthorGUI to author the DVD with the AC3 audio, chapters and 2 subtitle streams, then use VOBBlanker to replace the 16x9 version of the film with the 4x3, so I get to keep the menus from the original DVDs. I had no problems with ROTJ, and am pretty sure I'm following the exact same steps with ANH. The problem I'm having is when I load everything into DVDAuthorGUI and try to author the DVD it runs for a few minutes and then pulls up a message saying it could not complete the process and shows me the log:

Process aborted due to above error
There was an unknown error. Please review the log for more information.

I have tried reinstalling DVDAuthorGUI, I've tried using both versions 1.008 and 1.009 and get the same error. And what is weird is that DVDAuthorGUI says it can't load a subtitle file named "VTS_03_1 - 0x20 - Subtitle - English - Normal Closed Captions - [SP 01~ N] - DELAY 156890ms.SUB" which is not one of the subtitle files I tell it I want to use - it's not even one of the files I get from DVDSubEdit....

    Any help would be appreciated.
