    In case this gets missed, my question was previously asked in a different thread:

    There is only one NTSC format and one PAL format for DVD - basically defined by resolution and framerates. The different varients are governed by the playback device, not the disc. Therefore, there is no conversion to SECAM, it is just a PAL resolution/format authored disc, played back in a SECAM compliant player.

    AlSoft Video Converter lists SECAM as output option.

    And it's credentials are . . . ?

    SECAM is a broadcast standard. It does not apply to DVD. The DVD hardware takes care of it when it output to the TV.

    /edit

    It's credentials are very shaky. It's main page lists the k-lite codec pack as an "additional requirement" to the main software.

    Uh, this is not a recommendation on my part, just an example of a software listing SECAM as possible output (for those who actually look for this specific option...). Meant as encouragement to do more digging. that's all. Never used it, I admit.

    this link explains the issue, also addressing a "SECAM-DVD" question

    There is no PAL / SECAM / NTSC on digital world. Framerates and framesizes are what makes the difference.

    PAL / SECAM = Interlace 25 frames per second, 720 x 576 framesize
    NTSC = Interlace 29.97 frames per second, 720 x 480

    Converting 480 vertical lines to 576, is the easy part. Converting those 29.97 fps to 25 fps is complicated. Canopus procoder is the best solution for this
