I have a DVD which is spoiled by its soundtrack being stuttery and distorted in several places. So I want to replace it with a new one and make a new DVD. How do I most easily achieve this please?
I started by copying the 'main' (non-menu) VOB file from the DVD to my HD and changing its name to NewDVD.mpg. This plays OK in various players, and in VirtualDub. But how do I now
1. Replace the audio with a new MP3
2. Make the new DVD with a new menu.
I have lots of software, but the main tools I have that I think are relevant are:
- NeroVision Express, for which I gather the consensus is to avoid it
- TMPGEnc 3.0 Express, which I have so far not used (because I find it intimidatingly complex), but would like to learn now, with a bit of help
- TMPGEnc DVD Author, ditto.
All help will be greatly appreciated please.

1,2: tmpgenc dvd author, add the mpg and then select the mp3 as audio source and make menus. (You might have to convert the mp3 to wav,mpa,ac3 first with for example belight, ffmpeggui)
