I'm having problems with my GIEC GK-3128 DVD player but can't find firmware

I bought this DVD player http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-c/section-electronics/pid-1004058103/ about five months ago and for the first three months or so, it worked beautifully. It handled NTSC and PAL, DVD's from different regions and DVD-R's (both the ones burned on my PC and the ones burned on my set top DVD recorder). The picture quality was outstanding. All of a sudden the player crapped out and for the past two months, I can't watch anything on it. Discs of any kind freeze up during the menu and even if I'm lucky enough to get a title to start, it keeps freezing and skipping. I've Googled around for a firmware upgrade to download but can't find anything and I can't even find an Enlish language website for the manufacturer to seek help. I didn't pay a lot for it ($79.99) but I still hate to be out of that much money for something that only worked for three months, plus while it did work it was such a great DVD player that I want to try to salvage it if I can.

Can anyone point me to a site where I can get some tech support or download a firmware upgrade that can fix my player? Thank you
