    all was fine till a few weeks ago (new pink panther) i get through the encoding, and backup process, but it has started to crap out at about 95-97% burn. i also run any dvd, all programme versions are up to date. i am in the usa, any thoughts?

    Some of the newer videos are more difficult to backup. In most cases DVD Fab Decrypter works, as long as you use the very latest version.

    I don't know if it matters, but after seeing that movie, I wouldn't bother to back it up. But that's just my opinion.

    Latest and maybe best for newer DVD's is to use RipIt4Me. It seems to have all the needed tools for the newer encryptions. After it finishes, then you should be able to use Shrink. I use a modified version of Shrink that uses ImgBurn for burning to DVD. It works better than Nero and is continually updated, unlike DVD Decrypter.
