  1. This is a new error message that shows up when I use WinAVI, ASF Tools, and EO Video.
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly."

This error message shows up two times, then I can get into the program (listed above), but there are errors that stop me from completing the program. Any ideas?

  2. This has really gotten crazy. Now, when I left click on any AVI file, I get the error message and it won't go away. I continue to click on "OK" and another one pops up. This repeats until I close out the page (Win Explorer). It even does this sometimes when I open the directory containing an AVI file. Also, if I am able to try and delete the file, it says it is being used by another program. Is there a way or program to tell me what that other program is that's got it tied up?

BTW - I tried booting into safe mode and I get the same thing. (the error message and AVI files that are being used by another program)

You can check with Task Manager. (Assuming you are running XP) But that may not tell you which program is causing the problem. It could even be Explorer or one of the OS programs.

I assume you have tried a Google search for the error displayed in your first post? The solutions sound a little complex, though. I would uninstall all three programs and see if the error disappears as you remove them.

WinAvi is my suspect. Maybe a reinstall will fix it. Or just find a better program if it's the culprit.

If it does this with any AVI or when you open a folder with a AVI, then it sounds like a program associated with the AVI extension. What icon or program have you associated with AVI's? IE, what opens them?
