  1. I'm trying to transfer (capture) my Digital Video tape recordings from my digital video camera (JVC GR-DV3000) to my pc so I can burn them onto a DVD but I'm running into a problem and I'm hoping I can get some insight on how best to go about it.

I've got everything needed as far as the hardware, I just need to get an application or two that will recognize my camera through the IEEE DVi output on the camera going into the IEEE card I just installed in the pc. My pc recognizes the IEEE card just fine so, it should work fine if I can get the right programs. I'm really just a novice at this so If someone could give me their insight on how best to go about this it would be greatly appreciated.

Use WinDV to tramnsfer the DV video to your computer.
Then follow guides on DV to DVD.
