  1. I want to put motion menus on a DVD of last year's super bowl.

I want to split it into 4 quarters and then maybe into scoring plays in each quarter so I can by-pass the boring parts of the game.

I recorded the game using a Sony DVD recorder.

I have Ulead DVD Workshop but doesn't work with .VOB files.

    Can someone help please.

    Thanks,
    George

You can always extract the contents from the VOBs with something like VOB2mpg.

I like DLP. There is a 30 day demo. It doesn't hold your hand though, so be prepared to read the manual and the tutorials on the site. It would make you project simple - motion menus, playlists etc are all a piece of cake.

  3. Thanks for the reply.

So what you are saying once I extract the VOB files I can use Workshop?

Do you use Workshop? I am asking only because my copy is a few years old and was wondering if I needed to update.

Thanks so much for your help.

The new version of Workshop doesn´t support VOB files neither, so you have to convert to Mpeg2 first.

Using VOBs directly is never a good idea. VOBs can contain much more than just video and audio. You are always better off using at least programme streams, and even better, elementary streams, as your basic asset.
