I have Canopus ProCoder Express and it can do the conversion for me. But I must admit to being a bit dense when it comes to QuickTime video/audio codecs. I'm trying to convert MPEG2 and MPEG1 files to MOV files so that, in each case, neither QuickTime file is bigger than it's source file. In short, if my MPEG1 is only 419 megs, I'd like to create a MOV file that's 419 megs or less without the video/audio looking and sounding like crap.

What video/audio codecs (and settings) would you recommend for such conversions (if they can be done)?

Hmm ... those aren't among the choices ProCoder gives me. Then again, they might be listed under another name. Are H.264 and AVC the same codec? I'll research further and see what I can come up with. Thanks for giving me a starting point.
