I think we may be in violent agreement but caught up in semantics.
I guess I look at it this way - you can't install Windows XP without support for WMV, and you can't install OSX without support for QT. Call it native support or call it integrated, it is there when you start up the OS for the first time. In fact, in both cases these codecs are pretty tightly entwined with their respective OS's, as they are required for some core functions. Probably more-so with QT than WMV. You don't have to install anything else - libraries, players etc to enable or use these functions - which would put them under your definition of native, no ?

To me its the DRM support in those exact cases (OSX/QT and XP/WMV) what makes them more "native support" than just "integrated".
What I had in mind was more like taking linux as example (any - say my favorite Slack) where according to your definition we don't have any "native support" for almost anything if you install just the OS itselfYet if you add more stuff from packages available on installation discs, you will have "native support" for almost anything...
I guess youre right, its just semantics indeed. -
Seems I looked at a youTube flv once...little over 400kbps...youTube and others are not interested in your videos...rather ad views.
