As always with Mac software, Versiontracker.com and Macupdate.com are your friends.

    Hello,
I downloaded and installed those plugins.
Now what's it supposed to do for me that I couldn't do before?

Any Quicktime based app can now play/export files with an AC3 audio track (by "export" I mean export drom AC3 to something else), which isn't possible without a specific component.
