I find that if the filenames for the idx and sub are longer than 42 characters, that the subtitles won't be recognized on my Philips 5960.
Someone else did a test using a Philips 5140 and is saying that they had no trouble playing subtitles (idx/sub) with filenames longer than 42 characters.
I would like to get some more feedback from other owners of both the 5140 and the 5960 as to whether they see this same problem.
