Hey there, this is my first post even tho I have visited this site for many years. I am interested in getting a tv card for my computer.

I built my computer about 2 years ago, athlon 3200, gefore 6800, 1gig ram, windows xp pro. Nothing too fancy. My main purpose for this card is id like to either watch tv on it while Im playing a game on my tv (both screens are right next to each other, many times i use my tv as a second monitor, mostly for movies).
Or if possible id like to be able to play my console games on my computer monitor, is this possible?

I would assume and it makes much more sense to just go with the watching tv on my computer monitor method. I assume this is done with just a spliter on the incoming cable connection and one would goto the tv and the other to the card.

Is there anything special I should know? features i should look for? price range?

At the moment I have xbox/playstation 2 and gamecube incase i should know anything specific about console connections. I mostly plan on playing the systems on the tv (standard oldschool 32 inch). Thanks in advance. I hope this is in the right section.

I know it is possible to play in a computer monitor, because I've seen one guy doing this, I just don't know how to do it. Btw, he did it with a xbox. Maybe instead of a computer monitor he had a TV screen connected to the computer.

Sorry if I can't help you more that this. But if you want I can send him an e-mail to ask.

    Good luck.
