  1. I have the logitech z-5500 and its set on 6 Ch Direct, right now I'm not getting any sound out of 3 speakers, I'm just trying to listen to music, whats the proper connection ? Well I'm getting sound outta the rear 2 but barely any comming out of the front and none from the centre. Connections are solid.

Your doing just two channel stereo and they are coming out of the rear speakers? Is it possible you have the cables mixed up?

Also one thing to try is to go into your audio control panel and make sure all of your volume sliders are set to maximum.

One other problem is sometimes windows can change your setting from 5.1 to stereo for no apparent reason. Go into your control panel and visually verify your on 5.1 output.

    Good luck.

This is in control panel and select sound properties:

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  3. Hey, my settings are the same as your screenshot, I use winamp for my music and heres a setting of the 5.1 config, atlease I think it is

Cables are plugged in correctly + tightly. The thing is most of the sound is comming out of the rear ones and a bit comming out from the front 2 but not much and nothing from centre.

  4. ok guys so here is the updated scoop, when I have it on 6 Ch direct theres sound comming outta 4 but not the centre, the vocal is at the rear 2.... when I switch to PLII music or movie, I get sound outta all 5, vocal from centre and the other speakerse are effects.. when its on stereo/2x nothing from centre but sound comes from the other 4. Isn't the vocal suppose to come from the front 2 and have the effects comming from rear and not the other way around ?
