    Hi,

I dragged my standard SVCD Mpeg2 file into the project and tell it to burn in VP5 and it puts the file in the mpegav directory and it plays in a DVD Standalone player. But when i play it in PowerDVD on my pc it does not work.

When I burn my SVCD in Nero Burning Rom it puts it in the Mpeg2 Directory and plays in both the DVD Standalone and powerdvd in the pc.

Is there away to fix this in VideoPack 5 so the SVCD will work in both.

    Thanks

Please Does anybody know if you can fix this problem by getting VideoPack5 to put it in the mpeg2 directory.

Otherwise i might have to go and learn how to use the TSCV

  3. I have used VP5 for SVCD and they play on both WinDVD and PowerDVD without problems.

Did you have some menus that may not be compliant with older players? Did you make the Nero disc exactly the same as the VP5 version? What version of PowerDVD do you have?

    Which version of Power DVD?

All versions before the "PowerDVD XP" version do not support SVCD auto-playing at all, only VCD.

I have PowerDVD Xp 4.0 and It's just a streight burn with no menus or chapters just the svcd compliant mpeg which Videopack 5 has no problems with. What directory does or videopack5 burn the svcd mpeg into the mpegav directory or mpeg2 directory.

Anyway I have just solved my problem with PowerDVD and VP5
I was reading the manual and came across information about old format of SVCD and the New official SVCD Format and the new official format is in the Mpeg2 Directory and the old one is in the mpegav directory like the standard VCD.

And it said to make Videopack5 use the New Official SVCD Standard it said to edit the registry and change the 0 to a 1 under something.
