Can you run jpegs from digital cam on a dvd player as
a slide show ? havent bought dvd player yet ?

A very few DVD players can play jpeg files burned on a regular data cd-r but they are the rare exception.
Your best bet if your DVD player supports VCD is to create a VCD slideshow from your jpeg files.
There are a lot of authoring programs that can do this, including Ulead DVD PictureShow, Nero, WinOnCD, XatShow, and others.
