    Easier said than done.

It would be very helpfull if you provide more details. What file formats and what you did and where they in sync before you did whatever you did to them etc.

Remember the answer to most questions of this nature (video/audio work) is in the details.

So please be as specific as you can be with your information.

  3. Oh my bad well it's a AVI, and I didn't do anything to it. I downloaded it from a torrent and the audio was a bit off from the video.

Use "GSpot" to open the AVI and then take a SNAPSHOT of the details and post that image here. This way we see exactly what we have as an AVI can be any number of video and audio codecs etc.

Also what media players have you used? Try using the VLC media player if you haven't tried that one just yet.

    P.S.
Here is a link to a thread that explains how to take and post a screen SNAPSHOT

  6. Hi-

Asynch audio isn't all that's wrong with it. It's 720x480, meaning bad AR, and you'll have to use a player that can change the DAR if you want to watch it correctly. It has a pretty low B/(P*F), so if there's much action, it's probably blocky in places. It's 29.97fps, and if it's a movie, it should have been IVTC'd back to 23.976fps. It's only 498 MB, and it could have benefitted from filling the CD. It's made using the obsolete DivX 4, although it could just be old, I guess. But to sum up, whoever made it was incompetent. Anyway, to fix the out-of-synch audio:

Open the AVI in Media Player Classic. Right-click the screen and go Options->Filter->Audio Switcher->check the "audio time shift" box, and fill in an estimate of the amount of asynch. Hit "Apply" and test it out. Negative values are to make the audio play earlier. 1000 ms= 1 second. Resume playback. Adjust until you get it right. At that point you'll know how much the audio is out of synch and how much to set the delay in VDubMod. Then open the AVI in VDubMod, set the Video for Direct Stream Copy, go Streams->Stream List->Right-click the audio->Interleaving->Audio Skew Correction, and set the same delay as you found using MPC. OK your way out of there, go File->Save As, give it a new name, wait a minute or 2, and test it out.

When all done, either uncheck the box or set the audio time shift back to 0 in MPC.

  8. Leper-Messiah,

You'd be better off starting your own thread about this as opposed to asking the question in someone else's thread. This is for three reasons:

    - You will get more answers
    - The person who created this thread will not get less attention
    - People searching for solutions in the future will find it packaged into neat threads

Many thanks, and welcome to VideoHelp!
