    The auto-ripple buttons seems to operate contrary what one would expect. If it's out, then it allows one to post-edit ripple. In prevents post -edit ripples. Doesn't On usually mean depressed?

    Probably just semantics, but a title of 'auto-ripple' for a process would tell me that 'ripple' is the default and automatic and if you wanted to switch it off, you would push the button in.

    BTW, I hope someone here knows which specific program you are asking about, because more than one uses that term and I don't have a clue.
