I have just recorded a film from my Leadtek DTV1000 card and went to record the film on to a DVD via Movie Factory 4 that came with the card and all burnt ont othe disk fine with a menu etc, but when I play it the sound is out of sync with what's showing on the screen. If I simply play the movie from the hard disk (mpg fil) where it was recorded it's fine, it's only when i burn it to DVD.

Welcome to LEADTEK HELL, I have been here since June.

The problem will happen if you ever try to edit / encode or burn it. The only way I have been able to achieve it is by opening the file in VDM and demux the audio and saving the video as a seperate file. Then convert the audio to CBR mp3 or ac3, then open the new video file and mux the new audio file and set a skew correction value.
Leadtek should be shot in the head..

I dont know why but you do have to encode the video out, its not dropped frames, I think it may have something to do with VBR video + VBR audio..

Hope someone can sort this out for you (and me)
