You need to open the main folder, not the backup one.

    Just see:

Maybe you're doing it well, but give it a try.

Software and hardware won't help you.

You'll likely have to get the disc re-surfaced. Pay a service. It's pretty cheap, few dollars at most.

Checked out some dvds with circular scratches from the library. I dabbed the areas with Brasso using a Qtip and let it sit for 5 minutes. The new formula keeps it damp (it doesn't dry out, as I've read elsewhere). Rubbed back and forth (in the direction of the scratch) with the qtip, then got a clothe to rub more. It's very greasy and hard to remove. The scratches remained, and the areas around them were foggy from the rubbing, I guess. The dvd did read in my player, but I don't like how foggy they look. Did I do it wrong? Is there a better product? What kind of results do people get from using Maxell cd scratch fixer kit, or the Novus chemicals?

Update: bought a 3 pack (solutions no. 1,2,3) of the Novus chemicals on Ebay. Didn't dull the dvd like Brasso, but didn't fix the scratches either. The burner that couldn't read it before still couldn't read it.
The No.2 chemical looked exactly like Brasso but with a different smell (maybe it's watered down Brasso). My other burner can read the dvd (before & after using Norvus) so I know the dvd is readable and not a bad copy. Norvus didn't seem to do anything.
