I've read numerous subjects on similar topics but haven't yet found what I believe is the solution to my problem, so if there is anyone out there who can pinpoint this problem and help me it would be greatly appreciated. I will now describe in detail as much as possible and hopefully someone can pinpoint the problem and give me a step-by-step guide on how to overcome this problem.
The theory is simple, the practice is proving a little more difficult - I'm trying to produce a DVD slideshow using NeroVision Express2.
I've successfully created the project and saved it to my HD. It consists of 19 titles, each title has no more than 50-odd photos. The photos were initially taken by a Pentax Optio S camera and downloaded as ACDSee JPG images. I encountered no problems creating the project but when I tried to burn the project to disc it aborted during the transcoding phase. Having read some of the forums, I suspect it has something to do with codecs or decoders but I am not computer-savvy enough to understand all that.
I am attempting to burn the project (which is 307KB - this doesn't seem enough memory for the slideshow to me?) on to a Datawrite 4.7GB General Purpose 8x DVD-R. I've got an ADVENT 7072 laptop with built in Slimtype DVD+/-RW SOSW-852S. The NeroVision Express2 software tells me that the project will take up just over 1GB of memory on the disc. I select the check box for optimum speed. I then hit the burn button and it starts the transcoding phase and then stops after about 5-10 mins. It allows me to save the error report but I really don't understand the file when I've opened it.
I have read several forums with similar problems, some of which mention codecs some which mention compatability issues with file extensions but these have only confused the matter more. Is there a quick fix to this or is it a process of elimination before I can finally burn the project to DVD.
I apologise if I've left out anything obvious here - please post your reply/question and I will gladly respond with the information you need in order to be better informed to solve this problem.
In anticipation,
Liam.

Burn it to an image recorder (which means you get to save the image to your hard drive), then show us the errors from the log.

image recorder?? - as I said I'm not compuer-savvy so you'll have to explain exactly what this is and how I go about doing it.
Would it help if I attach the error log which I saved to file?

here is the error log that I saved to file.
I have downloaded an ISO recorder.
Can you post a reply to advise further please.

Program threw two exceptions, one related to kernel32 and the other to the DVDEngine. Not much you can do about either, possibly check Nero's website for a patch.
Never been real fond of Nero, especially its encoding abilities. Lots of other programs which could do this, I use Ulead DVD Picture Show, never had a problem.
FYI, there is no such thing as an ACDC JPG file. There are JPG files, and progs which display them, such as ACDC. But the prog has nothing to do with the file type.
