Trutech DVD recorder sold in Target is the same as Cyberhome DVD recorder sold in bestbuy, circuitcity, and compusa. You should have the manual that have hook up digram.
Digital cable box have two type of output : RF and audio/video.
First hook the RF from the wall to your cable box RF in.
For RF, hook the RF out from the cable box to your recorder RF in, and hook the recorder's audio/video out to the TV.
For audio/video, hook them from the cable box to your recorder audio/video in at the back of the recorder, and hook the recorder's audio/video out to the TV. You use the cable box to select channel, and select DVD recorder to audio/video 2 input.
Set your TV to the audio/video input that you use, or scroll thru them to find out.
