  1. I was wondering if there was a way to put visualizations (and if there is, what program is best?) on a cd that has mp3'z on it so when I play it on my home dvd player it won't burn a permanant image into my HDTV. The screen doesn't change at all and I was worried about it burning and image, not to mention it would be cool as heck to have 52"s of trippy visualizations

    Thanks

You'd need to do a Video Screen grab (CamStudio, Camtasia, etc) while the mp3 is running in WMP (or whatever the source app for the visualization). Then edit & convert that to a format that'll play on your settop (MPEG2 for DVD-Video; DivX/Xvid/MP4 for some others; possibly WMV...).
Those are generalities, but that's pretty much the only way to do it that I know of (barring shooting the screen with your videocamera!).

  3. There was a Toshiba DVD player can do that : SD2300. See : http://www1.epinions.com/elec-review-2D2-3D155EFF-3A229F11-prod6

?Virtual Light Machine? can be activated during CD-Audio playback and displays up to 100 unique patterns that pulse and change in sync with the music. If you ever used WinAmp MP3 player on your computer with visualization plug-ins, you know what I mean.

  4. sounds cool, i'll check out both ways, i was thinking another way would be just to get a tv card and play wmp or winamp while using my hdtv as the monitor? and hook up the audio to my theater system?

thats precisely what I do - patched the Video to the TV using the 'tv-out' option, and the audio is routed through my home theatre system.

Its a pretty good option all around, I think.

I have also played around with the option of capturing the screen in winamp and wmp10 - the visualizations. It works pretty well, but (And this is my own humble opinion) the price of the software I paid, just to do that wasnt really worth it.
