  1. I just converted four avis that took around 4 hours each. I didn't check the audio to make sure it was ok. Unfortunately, the audio screwed up. I took one of the mpg files and de-multiplexed it to check the mp2 file. I got a 52mb mp2 file which had nothing but silence on it. Is there a quick way I can convert the old avi audio to mp2 audio so that I can multiplex the audio with the video without converting the avi to mpg again? I think tooLame is able to do this, but I have never used this tool before. Can anyone help? Thanks

Easiest way might be using toolame with TMPG.
    Option > enviromental setting> external tool> Layer-2: toolame.exe.
Load the avi as video (and audio) source, select audio only and configure the audio output at the audio tab.
Make sure the audio source is uncompressed. If not, load the avi in VirtualDub and save wav.
