Hi I have an 'unusual' request.

I ama sound and video artist working on footage for my next live laptop set (www.myspace.com/ghostronica)

I have a corrupted movie which plays with some very interesting dual timeline and pixel-painting glitches on my iBook. The same file on my pc for some reason plays with some glitches but looks nowhere near as interesting.

What I would like to do is capture this movie with the glitches, full-screen.

The effects only seem to occur randomly in the player and are influenced by moving the playhead to different parts of the movie, so a simple export file will be no good here.

My iBook has a dvi out adapter.

Is there some way of sending the signal to a s-vhs in on my pc (an old dc10+ video apture card)

As far as screen capture software goes Im guessing that a 1ghz g4 iBook with 512mb ram wont capture smooth-playing full-screen video at pal quality?

    Use Snapz Pro X - http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/

Works in realtime, captures video in a few different formats, and even on my slower machine (1.6GHz G5) it works almost flawlessly. You can change the settings to capture video just in a defined window, can move the capture window with your cursor, or it can capture video of your whole screen. Personally, I love it.
