I have recently downloaded and installed Microsoft Windows Vista RC1 from microsoft.com,this is the latest release of the beta.My questions are really simple, what programs and games that are compatible with Vista?

    Ex.

    Games:
    SWAT 4
    The Sims 2
    Rolercoaster Tycoon 3
    etc.

    Programs:
Nero 6 (not 7)unless it works
    Ad-Aware
    FireFox
    Divx Player
    etc.

    P.S.
What Anti-Virus program is compatible for Vista that i can use instead of Trend Micro? If there is no working Anti-Virus working as of yet,is Trend Micro a pretty good program?

it is not a web site - you need to log on with a news reader (like outlook)

  7. Quite honestly, the best way to find out is to install them.

Microsoft have just begun advising software developers of the "Works with Windows Vista" and "Certified for Windows Vista" programs (here) . As developers test their products and report the test results, end users will eventually be able to look up given applications.

The programs are so new that we can't post the test results for our software to Microsoft yet.

Some software has to run in "compatibility mode" and/or "run as administrator mode". If you try to run an application and it doesn't start properly, Vista will actually advise you of that and try to change the compatibility settings automatically.

RC1 does have a list of software known to not work properly and, even on attempting to install it, Vista will warn you. This is true for Partition Magic 8.0.

Yeah like the new Star Wars Lego 2 game. It says VISTA compatible. Suprised the hell out of me since there isn't even a commercial copy of VISTA available yet
