  1. Hi. I'm new at making my own VCD's and am having a compatibility problem. I Obtained a VCD several years back that works like a charm in my VCD player (pioneer DV-505). Now, however, I have some that will not play in it. The player just kicks them out. I suspect they are SVCD or something which mine does not support.

I took one of the VCD's I have and converted it back to mpg format to try to make another one that would play in mine. I seem to have made the VCD ok, however it named the dat file MUSIC01.dat which I thought was strange. (Using ECDC 5). It still does not play in my DVD player though. Just kicks it out and only recognizes it as a Compact Disc.

So, can someone tell me how to encode (preferably with EZCD) one that would work in my DVD player? If not EZCD, then what's the best prog to use?

Help me obi-wan kenobi, your my only hope.

  2. i know that with my dvd player it wouldn't play anything i burned with ezcd 5, so i started using tmpgenc and burning with nero 5.5 and it works like a charm, so if you can't find out how to get ezcd 5 working this might also work for you.
