I was backing up a movie from DVD-9 to a Double Layer using CloneDVD2. The result, I cant play on a standalone Pioneer DVD player. IS this normal? Only special Standalone can play dual layer? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

you shouldn't have too much of a problem playing dual layer recordables.... how new is the player???
You could also try dvd decrypter and iso rip and iso write to do an exact duplicate rip (minus the encryption of course).Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Pretty recent, built in Oct 2005 bought from Wal-Mart about $70 during last yr holiday sales.
But, Thanks...I'll give that a try. -
What yoda said about ripping and burning back.
Unless you run into some newer copy protection but you would know as DVD Decrypter owuld prob. not rip it but that is for later if it does not rip the disc.
Also what brand of DL DVDR are you using ?
Verbatims are considered as what should be used for DL backups.
Also what is your burner ? Are you changing the booktype to DVD-ROM which can help alot.
