If PANASONIC does this well with standard definition MPEG-2, then it'll be interesting to see how well the company does with high definition H.264/MPEG-4.

MPEG2 and SD card? No thanks. I prefer less compressed format like DV-AVI. If an SD card craps out on you in middle of the recording, you lose it all. I really wish HDV would've been less compressed than MPEG-2. What were they thinking.
