The Polaroid 2001G can do the following:
1. Plug and Play for a hard drive upgrade. It will take anything you throw at it. I've got a 500 gig in mine right now.
2. It has a standard DVD burner. I've replaced it with no problem. So if you burn out your burner it's a $30.00 Plug and Play fix.
3. Copy free anomaly with a Philips 642 player (no macrovision etc) - not that important just something I found strange.
4. LSI chipset
I'm looking for a recorder that offers the above with better editing features. Any suggestions?
