    Hey there,

I have some problem with DVD-Lab pro.

I have a foreign dvd which does not contain dutch subtitles. I want to make this dvd with dutch subtitles.

So I demux the vob files with Pcgdemux.

Then I look for the appropiate dvd-subtitle and with Dvd-Lab pro I compile the dvd.

Although the compiling is not that rather difficult I don't really understand how it works with the subtitles. It appears there are subtitles with 30 fps, 29,97 fps or 25 fps and in PAL or NTSC.

I can add them to the project in dvd-lab pro, but it would be helpfull if I could preview the subtitles in combination with the video-stream. (m2v). In Dvd-lab pro I only can see a preview, but without the subtitles.

Since the compling is taking some time (about 20-25 minutes) I cannot find a way to see whether the undertitle is in sync with the audio.

Does anyone know how I can see their in sync in Dvd-lab Pro?
And how can I see for which format the subtitle is made, e.g. PAL or NTSC and which framerate?

    Many thanks,

If you read the section in the manual for subtitles, it actually states that the subtitle editor is for basic adjustments to subtitles, and not a substitute for a full featured subtitle editor. I preview subtitle timing in Subtitle Workshop, and adjust if necessary. Subtitle Workshop can also tell you the framerate for your subs in most circumstances.

Why is'n there any programm, which it's makes possible to lay down the video file and subtitle file under each other, with the option to preview, and at the same time its showing how much fps each file is and if the film is in pal or ntsf. In this way one can visual sync subtitles and video together, without even bother to mess around with timeframes e.g.
Just as in Pinnacle Studio, here I can add effects, titles & transitions at the exact spot on the film I want it to be.

Such a program for easy syncing subs and video is just I need, all those other programs are to complicated and even if I try I always get stuck half the way because the setting in the manual differs from the real program.

Subtitle Workshop does this. Once you have everything where you need it, just load the results into your authoring tool.
