  2. Have been a member since just before Xmas, received 6 DVD's to date, returned four, so I expect to average about 7-8 DVD's for the month, which still beats' Blockbuster here in Hawaii ($5.00 a pop for each rental)movies to date, my plan is to try it for 60 days an dtake a look to see how they do.

I have been a member since August. I am on the four dvd plan (about $26.00/month) and I average between 12-16/ month a lot depending on the mail service and the fact that the day I receive the dvd I return it the next. It also helps to keep your queue full and titles in at the top.

  6. Been renting 6 months. I do the 8 at a time, I think it depends on what the turn-around-time will be based on your location to get the full benefit of the program, it works very good and they have avery large selection of old and new.

    Was a member, no longer...

Pricewise, it is worth the money, particularly if all you have around is a Blockbuster.

However, it really depends on what types of DVD's you watch. If you watch all first-run, feature, live-action films, Netflix is the place for you.

However, I do NOT recommend them for things such as Japanese animation, which is mainly why I subscribed. While they do have some listed, stock is EXTREMELY LOW, they don't add new titles very often, and lie about adding more.

I tried to watch the entire "Trigun" series (8 DVD's). Took 4 months to get the first 4 DVD's (waiting list), I sat waiting another 2 months for the next disc, which remained on "long wait" status, never got that one or the one after, and ulimately the last two DVD's ended up being "Unavailable" so I couldn't get them at all... and as far as I can tell, they have stayed that way ever since I left. UNAVAILABLE.

I've been peeking at their selection (after cancelling membership) to see how good they are doing at adding new titles I like... they still have remained unchanged over several months.

    It's your call...

  8. I've been a ember for several months now, on the $20 - three dvd out plan. I can usually go thru 16 to 20 DVD's a month, depending on when the weekends fall. I think it is a great service.
