i am trying to back up a movie that i just got recently.... silent hill.... using dvd decrypter, and after letting it run for a few minutes, it stops anywhere from 4%-7% with a read error.... saying no seek complete.... my question is, is it the disk? or the drive?? or should i just find another program to use? any help would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Hmm.. Maybe a batch of bad Disc.

I just did a backup on "Silent Hill" with DVDshrink 3.2's reauthor mode, and did not have any problem at all.

DVD Decrypter choked on it for me also because of newer copy protection.

I used DVDFab Decrypter v2.9.8.3 to rip it then it opened fine in DVD Shrink.

Thats true, i too ran into the same problem with decrypt and shrink at a consistent 7%. I even disk docter repaired and buffered fixing a few little scratches with the same result. Though i used shrink before researching, ran into the same problem. If you hadn't retorted with trying dvdfab decrypt then i wouldn't have ever figured it out without spending atleast half an hour in playing.
