i noticed some of you are using tmpgenc on a pc to do your mpeg2 encoding...
the results are outstanding... lightyears ahead of the so-called apple encoder
however, i am now running into "bad encoded stream" errors in DVDSP with my tunsami encoded video.
it was working fine, until the mpeg2 trial ran out, and i deleted the reg key. so now i got another 30 days, but the mpeg2 streams are bad. this leads me to believe you can't short circuit tmpgenc.
maybe thats just a coincidence...
it could also be my networking software- thursby's DAVE3.1
anyhow, what methods of pc-mac networking are you using? is it stable, reliable?
TIA
