  1. Hi,

I have a DivX AVI that I am trying to encode to VCD. The problem is that it is loaded with bad frames. Are there any programs that will go through and fix/remove the bad frames? Or is there an encoder that will skip them rather than crashing?

  2. try DivFix or get the Panasonic Encoder (it will handle bad frames)

problem is Panasonic doesn't resize so if you have bad frames and you want to resize you have to frame serve from VirtualDub - which might not handle the bad frames too good - so then you have to use AVISynth ... ... it can be a pain in the ass to convert a bad DivX

  3. Hi,

I tried the Panasonic Encoder, but, it either says proper codec not installed, which it is or after only 2 seconds it says encoding done, leaving a zero byte file.

    Any thoughts?
