what program to view live from handycam?

I wish to project a particular stage act by streaming live from my handycam to my laptop from where i will project it onto a screen thru an LCD projector. What program do i require to view the l;ive video strream onto my laptop (and hence projector).

I do not want to record the same or capture the same - only view it as a live stream and teleconferencing is not the purpose

Please help as i require this info a bit urgently

LCD projector will take the handycam output directly thru the audio/video cables.

But i do not have any oher cable apart from a USB commector and the projector has no usb port - so what program can i use to view the same on my laptop

Hmmm - you may need a video capture card. Check out USB capture devices for the laptop. You can then use the Video Out from the camera and connect to the laptop. Using the tuner application that comes with the Capture Device you will be able to see what the camera sees on the laptop.
