    Hello,

I 've renamed the title to English and using notepad to script the DirectShow by avisynth to direct the file to virtualDubMod . There is an VitualDob Error message Avisynth Open Failure import cannot open C:/Chinese Movies/ ?????/????.avs. The movie plays on the Media Player Classic.
I've gone through search in VideoHelp and google rmvb and find nothing. Please help.

    Thanks

    Superguru,

I tried changing the name of the folder and the file name as well as the title of the movie into English. But no go. I saved the AVISynth script both in ANSI and UNICODE but niether one worked.

    Celtic_Druid,

The MPC supports the movie by playing it but it has no conversion capability.
I recalled the AVISynth should support it but I'll check.
    Thanks

Did you happen to install RM Alternative codec to allow Windows Media/Classic player to play RM files ?

Once that has been done, using AVISynth script to transport the video to VirtualDubMOD should be a breeze.

    Cheers,

    Hi there,

Thanks, now I can watch RM files but how can I convert them or avi files so I can burn them into DVD. As I understand VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod is for getting the sound in sync. Thinking that it also convert to avi, I tried to dub the movie using VirtualDub-MPED2-1.611. Then I was going to use TMPGENC X-Press to encode it to mpg. It froze and the following error message appeared:

[b]FREEZE LOG DUB I/O THREAD NOT CYCLED 30 SEC. POSSIBLE LIVESTOCK (thread action reading/processing video and audio from current address 7C90EB94 ) Avg. bitrate (kbps ) 761

I have been going at it for months without any success. Please help
