  1. Hi there, I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me with an error that has left my SVCD2DVD unusable.

This morning I launched the program and got the following error message: Parameters are incorrect and the program would not load.

I then uninstalled svcd2dvd and tried to re install it.

It re-installs virtually to the end of process, then comes up with the following error:

Module C:\\WINDOWS\system32\Code-Lock.ocx failed to register. HRESULT-2147024770. Contact you support personnel.

Options are to exit, try again and continue

click on continue and it then says it has successfully installed.

Launch program and I get the following error:

Common Language Runtime Debugging Services. Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0x944 (2372), Thread id=0x948 (2376). Click ok to terminate the application click cancel to debug the

    application.

I click on cancel and I get the following error:

Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted

in an error code of 0x2 (2). Please check computer settings. cordbg.exe !a 0xabc. Click on Retry to have the

process wait while attaching a debugger manually. Click on cancel to abort the JIT debug request.

When I click on cancel I get the following SVCD2DVD error:

Sorry for the long winded post but I wanted to make sure I included as much info. as possible.

    Here's hoping someone can help!

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I should mention that I saw the earlier post about not being able to start svcd2dvd and tried the instructions:

    1. Reinstall .Net 1.1
    2. Reinstall .Net 1.1 SP1
(Do the above via downloads rather than windows update)
    3. Lastly reinstall SVCD2DVD

Unfortunately this had no effect and I recieved exactly the same errors as before.

    Here's hoping someone can help!

can you run the following command at a command prompt:

    Code:
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\code-lock.ocx
You should get a popup indicating success. Then try re-running SVCD2DVD.

Please let me know how you get on.

  4. Hi Chrissy, thanks for the reply.

I ran the line at the command prompt and got a pop up with the following error message:

LoadLibray("c:\windows\system32\code-lock.ocx") failed - The specified module could not be found.

    Thanks for the help.

    Regards.

  6. Ok, after a number of emails shuttling back and forth it turned out to be a problem with a specific .dll file relating to visual basic runtime.

Reinstalled that and all works great!

A big three cheers to the legend that is ChrissyBoy!

A more helpful person on tinternt you'll have to go a long way to find!

    Cheers!
