  1. I'm in the early stages of learning NVE (as well as other authoring alternatives). Could another user straighten me out on a couple of basic points about the Edit Menu section please?

    1. Suppose I open a DVD-Video project I worked on earlier, say Test.nvc. I make a change, maybe the template or the shape of the buttons. How do I save that as a project with a different name? The Save button just overwrites Test.nvc. Is there no 'Save As' facility as you'd expect with any editing program? This seems to mean I can't experiment with alternative layouts. (Unless I manage this outside NVE by making regular copies.)

    2. Suppose I carefully customise the buttons with images from my video. But if I then choose a different template, all those revert back to standard. Is that a bug, a serious design flaw, or my misuse of the GUI?

Any advice would be much appreciated please.

  2. In case it helps anyone else ending up here after a search on a similar query, here's Nero Support's response just received:

"No it's not possible to save the files to a differnet file name. You can only save the file and rename it, so the next save will not overwrite the first one."

    A significant weakness IMO.
