    Hi Friends,
I have MPG files with me.
Really I want to make DVD with them like a movie DVD with menus and morphings etc., for example if we see any movie released in DVD we will see the following:
Introductory clip with some morphing effects and some part of clips and finally we will get Menu for playing movie or chapters or special or something like that.
I want to create the DVD like that. Can any one guide me how can I do that etc., atleast if some one can guide me the softwares need to make such a quality DVDs. I can buy and go thru them. Please help me the softwares and books I need to make such kind of DVDs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

DVD Lab, DVD Lab Pro, DVD Lab Studio are three popular authoring programs to look into. At the bottom of their pages in 'Tools' are links to guides for them. They have trialware versions, so you can try them out and see if they are what you are looking for.

The more professional authoring programs can get very expensive.

Authoring is only part of the equation. To do the sort of things you are talking about you also need

    1. A good video editing application (Vegas, Premiere Pro)
    2. A good still image program (Photoshop)
    3. A good motion graphics/effects package (After Effects, Combustion, Digital Fusion)
    4. A morphing program (Debugmode have a reasonable one for free)
    5. A good audio editing package (Sound Forge, Audition)
    6. Lots and lots of practice
    7. Lots of skill

No package has a magical "make commercial quality menu" button. You need to plan it out, prepare all the elements, learn all the packages, and be prepared to spend time experimenting, failing, and trying again.

For commercial quality output, there is no easy answer, and don't let anyone kid you otherwise.

The best morphing program is Elastic Reality, which hasn't been available for many years, but was used for the X-Files and a lot of TV and movies.

http://www.debugmode.com/winmorph/ is free and can do stills and video morphs and warps.

Like gunslinger said, the author app has little to do with the "look" and "feel" of a disc. This all come from menu design. A good designer always makes more than the author - there's good reason for this - it his/hers style the user sees
