I'm looking for a way to burn a VCD. I am used to the old Nero days where I'd click "Video CD" and drag and drop my mpgs in.

The videos that I have that I want to burn to VCD are already set up to burn with Nero, they are in compliant mpg format, however, I cannot use Nero any longer - had issues with it, made a thread here....found a new program.

But...now I have no idea how to make these clips into a VCD using Prassi ONES because nowhere does it say anything about a VCD....

    Can someone please help?

    Hi,

    Maybe this way:

A standard for displaying full motion pictures with associated audio on CD. The video and sound are compressed together using the MPEG 1 standard, and recorded onto a CD Bridge disc. Video CD disc contains one data track recorded in CD-ROM XA Mode 2 Form 2. It is always the first track on the disc (Track 1). The ISO 9660 file structure and a CD-I application program are recorded in this track, as well as the Video CD Information Area which gives general information about the Video CD disc. After the data track, video is written in one or more subsequent tracks within the same session. These tracks are also recorded in Mode 2 Form 2. The session is closed after all tracks have been written.

Try mode 2 form 2. I bought prassi ones but mainly for data burning.

humm....I'm thinking that I need to make the files into bin/cue files in VCDEasy...which I've never used before...and then burn them with the "Record Image cue/bin" option, but I really don't know....

vcdeasy will make bin/cue out of (s)vcd mpegs for you if you select to make an image file. or pick your cd-r drive and let it burn for you.

well VCDEasy doesn't tells me there are issues with the files because I did them with TMPG...and it will not let me burn because it can't find my drive even though its in the list and I choose to force it...

Also tried to run prassi ONES and burn the bin/cue files, but it was telling me the files weren't legit pretty much
