  1. I was wondering how blockbuster gets their discs scratch free when they resale them as previously viewed? Do they just use extra ones that were never rented, or is there a way to remove minor scratches?

It's called Disc Doctor, and is polishes the surface of the disc back to clean. You can only do this a couple of times though. It is like machining the disc in the brakes of your car.

My local Blockbuster used the Skipdoctor on there's.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

  4. Hollywood is a better place to buy used DVDs. They give a 1 year guarantee on all DVDs, new and used.

    Skip Doctor/disc doctor

Those cheap one's you can buy anywhere

If blockbuster is using one of those small cheesy resurfacing machines they are truely the bottom of the cesspool, not that i ever liked them or rent anything from them 8)

The "Family Video" about a block from me has one that is the size of a ten gallon aquarium, huge ass machine!! around $800.00 +
I've taken dic's in there i own, even some old PS1 games, and have acouple of the girls there i know run them through it, they come out looking brand new!!!

Even some rentals i have gotten from them had big ass gouges and i had them run them through before taking them home and you could barely see where there was a mark before!!

Those Disc Doctor things are crap, they don't do anything except steal your money. Blockbuster sometimes re-surfaces and re-buffs the discs. Other times they do nothing.

  8. Thanks for all your comments, I guess what I was looking for was something I could get and use at home for some of my dvds and cds that have some scratchs on them.
