Hey, i used ConvertXToDvd to make a .avi file with different subtiles to dvd.
But some of the dvd's lagging a bit when i try to play them on dvd player. It comes suddently after i have watched about 1 and a half hour.
I've been reading some about fps. But i dont know how to solve this problem. What can i do?
Dont hope this i in the wrong section or something...
Thanks..

What do you mean by lagging ?
That it happens toward the end of the disc could suggest quality issues with the media you are burning to. DVDs burn (and read) from the centre out. The outer edge is where poor quality media tend to exhibit problems. So if you are going to get playback problems, it is usually in the later parts of the movie.Read my blog here.

I thought it was because i schould burn with NTSC or PAL.
I use Aro DVD+R -
The movie stop, play af few seconds and stop again.

But i dont know. I use Aro DVD+R -
Uhh.. That was alot of questions.
1. It was an .avi format.
2. I just use ConvertXToDvd = .vob
3. When i say lagging it is just like when you play a game and you have a slow computer and so on. You see a picture and suddently it stops playing, after a few seconds the next picture comes. Like playing the movie very slow. But it stoped after a few minuts.
4. I dont know what you mean, but this is what is printet on them:
Aro DVD+R single sided up to 16x speed 4,7 GB -
But i dont think it is the media. I have burned alot and only one or two have a problem...
I think it is the way that i burn it. -
Simple test - use a good software DVD player (Power DVD, WinDVD - not Windows media PLayer) to the test the results created by ConvertXtoDVD from the HDD. If you don't get the same issues, try burning a new copy with imgburn2. If it happens again, it is media. If it doesn't, it could still be media, or a bad burn.
If, when you play back from the HDD you still get the lagging, then it is most likely a corrupt avi.Read my blog here.

There is nothing wrong with the file. And i dont think its the media, i have several movies on that kind of media and no one is lagging.
But i think its when i convert it, dont know. But i am nearly 100% sure! -
There is a larege difference between playback and encoding. Many players are built to be forgiving of small errors, and will often play through with perhaps only a small glitch. The same file will then choke an encoder as it needs to be able to read every piece of data, and anything missing can cause problems. However, until you have done the tests, you are just guessing. 99% of the time the issue is either media or source, neither of which you want to admit.

I will try to convert it again, with ConvertXtoDvd. And play it from my hdd.
But would you not say that its not the media when you burn it med Nero and it works? I have about 30 dvd's and only one of them is lagging (i think). I also have heard that my dvd burner is too old. And i schould buy a new burner (Plextor).
Is the error in there?? -
Okay, now i have converted it and it dont jumb or anything on the hdd. And i also tried to play once again on my dvd-player. And it dont lagg where it did last time, but last time it was played on one of my friends dvd-players.
What do you think the problem is now? -
Okay, i have decided to buy new discs. But what kind?
DVD-R or +R?
Verbatim?
What speed? -
Okay i say thanks for now, ive found out that the media that im burning to. Is not on the list but the ID is very close to some one from 4th class...
